Slackening structures

To protect quays and locks, slow ships down and keep vessels on course, Nauta Heeg builds slackening structures, including for oil giant Argos.

Transport via inland vessels from its own quay

Nauta Heeg manufactured sections measuring 6.5 metres in height and 22 metres in length. The total weight of this project was 40 tonnes per section. Altogether, 165 metres of slackening structures were needed – a substantial quantity, which it was possible to transport swiftly and efficiently by water. The unique location of our production hall, which is situated on open water, allowed us to transport the components via inland vessels from our own quay in Heeg.
