Pontoon landings Amsterdam

The project

Together with De Boer en De Groot we realize two pontoon landings for GVB Amsterdam. These landings will serve as mooring place for the ferry that is expected to start sailing between Sluisbuurt and Sporenbrug in the beginning of 2023. The ferry is intended for cyclists and pedestrians. The pontoon connection will be put into use for at least 7 years. It is therefore considered as a temporary solution. Zeeburgereiland and IJburg will grow significantly in terms of population in the coming years. The use of the ferry and the effect on road safety will therefore be followed by the municipality of Amsterdam in the next 7 years. After this period, the municipality of Amsterdam will check whether it can be converted to a definitive pontoon connection. Another great project we can work on! 

Our work

On both sides of the water we produce and supply among other things footbridges, stairs and a ramp for this nice project. The footbridge has a total length of 75m, a weight of 70 tons and consists of 5 sections.
